OB/GYN MD Locum Need in Minnesota

Position Overview
• Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Provider Type: MD or DO
• Start Date: July 2026 (or sooner if credentialed)
• Contract Length: 3 months (ongoing potential)
• Practice Setting: Clinic and Hospital
• Clinical Scope:
o OB heavy practice with limited GYN
o Full spectrum general OB/GYN
o TOLAC required
o Emergency surgery required while on call
o No high risk OB
o No Level II nursery
o NNPs available on call (not in house)
o CRNAs on call but not in house
• Patient Population:
o OB: primarily ages 18–40s
o GYN: includes menopausal patients

Schedule and Coverage
• Coverage Options (Flexible):
o 5–6 × 24 hour call shifts per month plus 1–4 clinic days per month, OR
o 5–6 × 24 hour call shifts only, OR
o 1–8 clinic days per month
• Call Details:
o 24 hour call
o In house required during clinic hours (8:30 AM – 4:00 PM) for triage support
o After hours: may leave but must remain within 30 minutes of the hospital
o Call frequency: approximately 1:5, including every 5th weekend
o Call volume increased due to ~30 births per month split among 5 providers
• Clinic Details:
o 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
o 15–18 patients per day
o Clinic mix: ~70% OB / 30% GYN
• Staffing:
o Clinic RN for triage
o MA and LPN for room support

Provider Requirements
• Board Certification: Required
• Licensure: Active Minnesota license required (IMLC accepted)
• DEA: Required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (AHA accepted)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years required
• Name Clear: Required prior to submission
