Facility:
This well-established hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center featuring a dedicated 12-bed OB Emergency Department with robust staffing support. The facility offers a collaborative environment with APP support up to 18 hours a day, dedicated sonographer coverage, and a strong OB Hospitalist team, ensuring physicians have the resources needed to deliver exceptional patient care around the clock.

Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
- Locum Tenens opportunity with 30-40 shifts available per month with no on-call requirements
- 12-hour shifts available in both day (7a-7p) and night (7p-7a) rotations; please advise shift preference when submitting bids
- Work in a 12-bed OB Emergency Department seeing an average of 40-60 patients per shift
- Evaluate and treat pregnant patients and those up to 6 weeks postpartum for OB/GYN complaints
- Physician coverage provided 24/7 with APP (PA, NP, and Midwife) support available 12-18 hours per day
- Sonographer available 18 hours per day and tech support available 12 hours per day
- RN staffing of 2-3 nurses depending on time of day, including 2 in triage
- Manage both low and high risk pregnancies
- Perform FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
- Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds including Level I/Screening (viability) and Level II/Targeted (anatomic)
- Perform amniocentesis procedures
- Provide routine delivery services including vaginal, low forceps, and decision-making for c-sections
- Manage complicated deliveries including c-sections, breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
- Perform repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
- Perform laparoscopic diagnostic procedures including tubal ligation and LOAs
- Diagnose and treat ectopic pregnancies
- Board certification required; ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Active Missouri license or IMLC required
- Estimated credentialing timeframe of 60 days
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
