This community hospital provides essential obstetrics and gynecology services to the surrounding region. The facility operates as a low-volume work site with both inpatient and outpatient services, offering providers a manageable and independent working environment.

Job Details:

• Locum tenens opportunity beginning January 2027 on an ongoing basis
• Coverage includes both inpatient and outpatient clinic and call responsibilities
• Monday through Friday clinic hours from 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM (no clinic Friday afternoons)
• 24-hour beeper call coverage required 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM daily throughout the week, including during clinic hours
• 10-20 shifts required per month; preference for one provider to cover all 20 shifts, but two providers covering 10 shifts each will be considered
• 12-13 patient encounters per shift
• Provider will work independently; must be comfortable and experienced doing so
• Facility performs approximately 40 deliveries per month - low volume environment
• Active New Mexico license required; NM licensure only accepted
• Board certified required
• BLS certification required
• Active DEA required
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 60-90 days
• Required skills include: low risk pregnancy management, routine vaginal deliveries, low forceps deliveries, decision-making for c-sections, complicated deliveries including c-sections, breech, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs, and office/minor gynecology procedures (IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.)
