OB/GYN MD Locum Need in New York

Position Overview
Specialty: Obstetrics (95% OB / 5% GYN)
Start Date: May
Contract Length: Ongoing
Clinical Focus: Predominantly obstetrics with limited GYN
Schedule and Coverage
Weekly Structure:
1 × 24‑hour in‑house call shift per week
Call is in‑hospital (not pager)
Provider must remain onsite; sleep room available during call
2 × 8‑hour clinic days per week (Monday–Friday)
Monthly Availability Required:
Minimum 3 weeks, preference for 4 weeks per month
Patient Volume:
~14 clinic patients per day (30‑minute appointments)
Patient Population: Primarily teenagers and adults

Provider Requirements
Board Certification: Board Certified only (BE not accepted)
Licensure: Active New York license required
DEA: Required
Clinical Model:
Midwife support available
Multiple OB providers on staff
On‑site ultrasound available
Annual Deliveries: Approximately 1,500 deliveries per year
Credentialing
Timeframe: 60–90 days average
