Facility:
This regional medical center serves as a vital healthcare resource for the surrounding community, providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic services. The facility features a 3-bed labor and delivery department with 14 postpartum beds, supported by 24/7 anesthesiology and radiology services, along with hospitalist support staff to ensure optimal patient care.

Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
• Provide 24-hour call coverage for obstetric and gynecologic emergencies
• Round on patients and manage labor and delivery services
• Handle emergent cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries
• Perform emergent gynecologic procedures as needed
• Manage low-risk pregnancies with routine and complicated deliveries
• Conduct vaginal deliveries, low forceps deliveries, and cesarean sections
• Handle breech presentations, multiple births, and abruptions
• Make critical decisions for cesarean section timing
• Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
• Perform OB ultrasounds with interpretation capabilities
• Provide office and minor gynecologic procedures including IUD placement, cystoscopy, colposcopy, and LEEP
• Conduct surgical gynecology procedures both open and laparoscopic
• Handle operative procedures including ectopic pregnancy management and ovary removal
• Must maintain active North Carolina license, DEA, and Medicaid credentials
• Board certification required with current PECOS enrollment
• Must be actively delivering babies with case logs from past 24 months required
• Hospital apartment housing provided adjacent to facility
• Must remain within 20 minutes of facility per hospital bylaws
• Average 27 deliveries monthly with typical census of 1-3 deliveries per 24-hour period
• High-risk deliveries transferred to facilities with NICU capabilities
