Facility:
This regional medical center serves as a vital healthcare resource for the community, providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic services. The facility features a 3-bed labor and delivery department with 14 postpartum beds, Level 1 nursery, and strong support services including 24/7 anesthesiology and radiology coverage.
Opportunity:
Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
• Provide 24-hour call coverage for obstetric and gynecologic services
• Round on patients and be available for emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries
• Handle emergent gynecologic procedures as needed
• Manage routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal, C-sections, breech, multiple births, and abruptions
• Perform low risk pregnancies with decision-making capabilities for cesarean sections
• Conduct OB ultrasounds with performance and interpretation skills
• Handle repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations and VBAC procedures
• Provide office/minor gynecology services including IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP
• Perform surgical gynecology including open and laparoscopic procedures
• Must maintain active NC license, NC DEA, and NC Medicaid credentials
• Must be currently enrolled with PECOS as a provider
• Board certification required with laser certification
• Must be actively delivering babies with case logs from past 24 months required
• Fully vaccinated status required
• Must be within 20 minutes of facility per hospital bylaws
• Hospital apartments provided adjacent to facility
• Average 27 deliveries monthly with approximately 1-3 deliveries per 24-hour period
• High-risk transfers to nearby facilities with NICU capabilities
• Travel costs capped at $500 total
• 14-day credentialing timeframe
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
