Job description

TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician to provide hospital call coverage for an established women's health practice in eastern North Carolina. Providers will be required to complete orientation the day before or the morning of their first scheduled shift.

Coverage Dates

October
October 2, 2026 (8:00 AM) – October 5, 2026 (8:00 AM)
October 30, 2026 (8:00 AM) – November 2, 2026 (8:00 AM)

November
Two weekend call assignments
Friday 8:00 AM through Monday 8:00 AM
Specific weekends are flexible

December
December 11, 2026 (8:00 AM) – December 14, 2026 (8:00 AM)
December 18, 2026 (8:00 AM) – December 21, 2026 (8:00 AM)

Position Details
100% inpatient hospital coverage
Hospital call coverage
Hospital privileges required
EPIC EMR
Provider must arrive at the hospital within 20 minutes when on call
No ICU responsibilities
Locum physician will not respond to codes
Air and ground transport available for higher levels of care

Clinical Details
25-bed community hospital
7-bed Emergency Department
Average delivery volume: 28–34 deliveries per month
Low-volume inpatient obstetrics service

Required Procedures
Vaginal deliveries
Cesarean deliveries
Inpatient obstetrical management
Emergency obstetrical call coverage

Requirements
Board-Certified OB/GYN
Comfortable performing vaginal and cesarean deliveries
Ability to respond to the hospital within 20 minutes while on call
Additional Requirements (Assignments Exceeding 6 Months)
ALSO Certification
AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course completed within the past two years
Current NRP certification

Practice Environment

Collaborative care with transfer support available when needed
Low-volume labor and delivery service
