Locums OBGYN Needed in North Carolina!

Job description

Coverage Details:
• Coverage needed per month (24hr / hourly shifts / shifts + call, etc):
Monday: clinic 8am – 5:00pm (with lunch from noon – 1:00pm)
Tuesday: clinic 8am – 5:00pm (with lunch from noon – 1:00pm)
Wednesday: clinic 8am – 5:00pm (with lunch from noon – 1:00pm)
Thursday: 24-hour call coverage, onsite coverage (7a-7a)
Friday: no shift
• Frequency of any Call needed:
There is a separate OBGYN and CNM call room in L&D.
Average of 2-3 deliveries per 24-hour shift.
We plan to have a facility-employed CNM on shift for the full 24 hours.
There is no weekend call for either the OBGYN. I do not need any weekend call coverage options for what I am looking for. All call is restricted. It is 24 hours onsite L&D coverage for the CNM and L&D/GYN call coverage for the OBGYN. There is no beeper or call back.
• Schedule Details: (start / end times, days of the week, etc):
See 6-10 patients for half day clinic and 15-20 patients for a whole day clinic

Work Details:
• Support staff: clinical/clerical team; nurses in L&D
• Department Description: hospital and hospital owned practice
• Patient Volume: 15-20/day
• Patient Age Group: primarily adults, some under 18 OB and GYN patients
• EMR/Documentation System: EPIC, required
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: Procedures completed in office: LEEP, endometrial biopsies, COLPOS, IUD insertions (dedicated procedure room)
• Special Equipment Used: In office lab and 2 ultrasound rooms with full-time sonographers.
Requirements:
• Are Board Certifications Req’d?: BC in OBGYN required
• Which State License(s) Req’d?: NC
• Certifications Req’d? (BLS / ACLS / etc): BLS
• Specific Skills Req’d?: comfortable with rural OBGYN setting with busy office and L&D floor
• DEA Req’d?: NC
• Minimum Experience Req’d (# of years): seasoned, no new grads
• Are vaccines mandatory?: N/A
• Any additional requirements/details to screen for?: clean backgrounds, name clear + NPI
Credentialing/Privileging Timeframe: next Credentials is Jan 27, need file completed by Jan 20 to make January meeting
