Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens assignment covering urgent dates beginning 07/27/2026 through 08/10/2026, with additional coverage blocks in October, November, and December 2026 through January 2027
• Approximately 10 patient encounters per shift within a 15-bed department
• Must hold an active North Carolina medical license - NC licensure required to bid
• Board certification required (minimum board certification eligible)
• Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days
• Provide obstetrics and gynecology services including low risk pregnancy management
• Perform OB ultrasounds including Level I/Screening (viability) and Level II/Targeted (anatomic)
• Perform amniocentesis procedures
• Conduct routine deliveries including vaginal and low forceps deliveries
• Exercise clinical decision-making for cesarean sections
• Manage complicated deliveries including c-sections, breech presentations, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
• Perform repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
• Provide office and minor gynecology services including IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP procedures
• Perform surgical gynecology including open procedures, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures (tubal ligation, LOA's, chromotubation), and operative/major procedures (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's)
• Vendors are responsible for obtaining and submitting all necessary pre-hire requirements including background check and drug screen
