Job description

TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified OBGYN physician for a locum tenens opportunity providing inpatient hospital coverage in Ahoskie, North Carolina. This is an established practice with a collaborative team and scheduled coverage needs extending into early 2027.

Schedule: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM
Orientation: New providers will need to arrive the day before their first scheduled shift for orientation.

Coverage Needed
October 21, 2026 at 7:00 AM – October 23, 2026 at 7:00 AM
December 27, 2026 at 7:00 AM – January 4, 2027 at 7:00 AM

Practice & Clinical Details
Inpatient coverage only
Established practice with 1 physician and 2 advanced practice providers
Approximately 300 deliveries per year
Average inpatient census: 2 patients
Average admissions: 1 per day/night
No ICU responsibilities
Provider will not respond to codes
Support from a nearby children's hospital, including pediatric transport resources
EPIC EMR
NRP certification required if the assignment extends beyond 6 months

Requirements
Board-Certified OBGYN physician
Active North Carolina medical license
Hospital privileges
NRP certification required for assignments longer than 6 months
