Job description

TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified OBGYN to provide hospital call coverage for an established practice in Edenton, North Carolina.

Coverage: Hospital call
Clinical Setting: 100% inpatient
Hospital: 25-bed hospital
EMR: EPIC
Provider must be comfortable with: Vaginal and cesarean deliveries
Response Time: Provider must respond to the hospital within 20 minutes
Emergency Department: Low volume, 7 beds
ICU: No ICU responsibilities
Codes: Locum provider will not respond to codes
Patient Transfers: Air and ground support available for immediate patient transfers when needed
Delivery Volume: Approximately 28–34 deliveries per month
Coverage Needed – April 2027

Only one weekend needed in April

April 9–12: 8:00 AM–8:00 AM
April 16–19: 8:00 AM–8:00 AM
April 23–26: 8:00 AM–8:00 AM

Additional Details
New providers would need to orient the day before the first shift and/or the morning of the first shift.
Provider must be comfortable with both vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
Provider must be able to respond to the hospital within 20 minutes.
No ICU responsibilities.
Locum provider will not respond to codes.
Air and ground support are available for immediate patient transfer when needed.

Additional Requirements for Assignments Over 6 Months

If the locum provider covers for more than six months, the following are required:

Current ALSO Certification
Evidence of completion of the AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course within the last 2 years
Current NRP Certification required for community hospital obstetricians
