OB/GYN – Locum Tenens- Allen, TX

📍 Allen, TX

Start Date: March
Availability Needed: 1–2 weeks per month (must include clinic + call)

📅 Schedule & Call

Clinic: 2.5 days/week

Surgery: 1 day/week

Call: 1:4 rotation

More days off than a typical practice with manageable call

OB/GYN team provides back-up call for CNM hospitalists; PRN pool covers vacations/extended leaves


🏥 Practice Setting

Full-scope OB/GYN practice

14 L&D beds

Clinic staffed with 1 additional OB/GYN and 2 CNMs

CNMs are first to handle deliveries and are trained surgical first assists


👩‍⚕️ Patient Volume & Support

25–30 clinic patients per day

Dedicated MA assigned

Comprehensive care team support (LCSWs, lactation, education, specialists)

🩺 Scope of Practice / Responsibilities

Full-scope outpatient obstetrics and gynecology

Multiple venues for gynecologic surgery

On-call duties include 24/7 OB/GYN emergency coverage:

Labor & delivery

ROM (water breaking)

Bleeding, pain, complications

High-risk pregnancies

Must be comfortable with:

D&C

Ectopic pregnancy management

Cesarean sections


✅ Qualifications

Board-Certified OB/GYN – Required

Active Texas medical license & DEA – Required

IMLC candidates accepted


✈️ Travel

Full travel covered: airfare, lodging, and car rental
