Job description

Aya Locums is actively recruiting a Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician for a rewarding locum tenens assignment at a Texas hospital. If you're looking for consistent monthly call coverage, a collaborative women's health team, and the opportunity to make an immediate impact, this assignment delivers both flexibility and meaningful clinical work.

Assignment Details
• Start Date: August 2026
• Coverage Type: 24-Hour In-House Call
• Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
• Coverage Needed: 4–8 shifts per month
• Shift Availability: Days, nights, weekends

Clinical Responsibilities
• Manage obstetric and gynecologic emergencies
• Provide care for unassigned OB/GYN patients
• Cover the Obstetrics Emergency Department (OBED)
• Perform Cesarean sections and other emergent surgical procedures as needed
• Serve as surgical first assist
• Provide backup support to in-house Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs)
• Respond promptly to urgent obstetrical and gynecologic cases

Practice Highlights
• Inpatient hospital setting
• Approximately 300–400 annual deliveries
• EMR: Epic
• Collaborative labor & delivery team
• High-acuity obstetrical coverage with comprehensive physician support

Requirements
• Board-Certified OB/GYN
• Active Texas Medical License
• Comfortable providing independent inpatient OB/GYN call coverage
