Aya Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Obstetrics & Gynecology (OBGYN) Physician to provide ongoing 24-hour in-house call coverage at a well-established Texas hospital. This assignment offers a consistent monthly schedule, a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, and the opportunity to care for mothers and newborns in a high-quality labor and delivery program. Assignment Details
• Start Date: November 2026
• Coverage Type: 24-Hour In-House Call
• Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
• Shift Length: 24 Hours
• Monthly Commitment: 4–6 shifts per month
• Office Responsibilities: None – hospital-based coverage only

Clinical Responsibilities
• Evaluate and manage patients presenting to the Obstetric Emergency Department (OBED)
• Provide care for unassigned OB/GYN patients
• Monitor labor progression and interpret fetal heart rate tracings
• Perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• Respond to obstetrical emergencies and urgent labor complications
• Evaluate postpartum patients prior to discharge
• Provide pregnancy-related and gynecologic consultations for the Emergency Department and inpatient units
• Serve as a key provider supporting Labor & Delivery operations
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency preparedness drills
• Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care while maintaining safety standards

• Cesarean Sections
• Emergency Obstetrical Procedures

Facility Highlights
• Approximately 1,300–1,500 births annually
• 20-bed Level III NICU
• Private maternity suites
• Two dedicated cesarean birth suites
• Specialized antepartum unit for high-risk pregnancies
• EMR: Epic

Support Team
Work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary staff that includes:
• In-house Neonatologist
• 24/7 Anesthesia Coverage
• OB/GYN Hospitalists
• Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs)
• Family Medicine Physicians

Requirements
• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Completion of an accredited ACGME OB/GYN residency program with robotics training
• Active Texas Medical License or willingness to obtain
• IMLC candidates must provide a Letter of Qualification (LOQ) with presentation
• Recent delivery and surgical experience required
