Locum Tenens OB/GYN – Virginia

Job description

Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology
Start Date: December 2025
Contract Length: 6 months
Schedule: 8 × 24-hour in-house call shifts per month
Coverage Type: Clinic + Hospital

Assignment Details

Responsibilities: Full OB services on labor & delivery + unassigned OB/GYN hospital call

Volume: ~70–75 deliveries/month + 20–25 non-obstetrical surgeries/month (busy practice)

Team: 5 Board-Certified OB/GYNs, 5 ACPs, and a Certified Nurse Midwife

Teaching: Must be comfortable managing residents

Facility: 146-bed acute care hospital | Level II Nursery

EMR: Epic

Requirements

Board Certified, American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Active Virginia license required

DEA required | EFM, NRP, and PALS preferred

Minimum 2–3 years of experience (5+ years strongly preferred)

Credentialing: 90–120 days
