Position Overview
• Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Start Date: July 2026
• Contract Length: 6 months
• Shift Model:
o 4–8 call shifts/month
o 24 hour in house call
o Up to two consecutive 24 hour shifts permitted

Coverage & Responsibilities
• Monthly Need: 8 total 24 hour call shifts
• Call Responsibilities:
o All OB coverage for Labor & Delivery
o Unassigned OB/GYN call for the hospital
• Practice Volume:
o Active service—NOT low volume
o ~70–75 deliveries/month
o ~20–25 non obstetrical surgeries/month
• Supervision:
o Physician will be expected to manage residents

• 5 Board Certified OB/GYN physicians
• 5 Advanced Clinical Practitioners
• 1 Certified Nurse Midwife

• Hospital: 146 bed acute care medical center
o 280 physician medical staff with broad specialty support
o Level II Nursery
• EMR: Epic

Skills & Procedures
• Required:
o Core OB and GYN skills
o Minor GYN surgical capability

Provider Requirements
• Board Certification: American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG)
• License: Active Virginia license (VA)
• DEA: Required
• CSR: Required
• Certifications Preferred:
o Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
o Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
o Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

• Start Date: July 2026
• 4–8 call shifts/month
