Aya Locums is seeking a skilled OB/GYN physician to provide comprehensive coverage at a dynamic healthcare facility in Virginia. This high-acuity role offers a mix of clinical and surgical responsibilities, resident supervision, and the opportunity to work alongside a robust and collaborative care team in a fast-paced environment.

Assignment Details
• Start Date: July 2026
• Contract Length: 6 months
• Schedule: 8 (24-hour in-house call shifts per month)
• Shift Flexibility: Up to 2 consecutive 24-hour call shifts permitted
• Coverage Type: 24-hour on-call (Day, Night, Weekend coverage included)
Work Details
• Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Scope: Full OB services on labor & delivery; unassigned OB/GYN call coverage
• Volume: Approximately 70–75 deliveries and 20–25 non-obstetrical surgeries per month
• Procedures: OB/GYN core procedures with minor gynecologic surgeries
• EMR: Epic
• Support Staff: 5 Board-Certified OB/GYNs, 5 Advanced Clinical Practitioners, and 1 Certified Nurse Midwife
• Additional Responsibilities: Supervision and management of residents
Practice Setting
• Inpatient (Hospital – Labor & Delivery)
• Outpatient (Clinic)
• Facility: 146-bed acute-care medical center with a Level II Nursery and a medical staff of 280+ physicians
Requirements
• License: Active Virginia medical license required
• Board Certification: American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) – Required
• DEA: Required
• Minimum Experience: 2–3 years required (5+ years preferred)
• Credentialing Timeframe: 90–120 days
• Additional: Name clear process required
