LOCUM PHYSICIAN – OB/GYN NEEDED IN PETERSBURG, VIRGINIA

COVERAGE DETAILS

Coverage Dates: December 17–24 and December 31

Schedule: 24-hour call (7 AM–7 AM) plus clinic

Call Ratio: 1:4

Clinic Volume: Approximately 20 patients

EMR: Epic

Credentialing: 60–90 days; temporary privileges may be available for providers with clean backgrounds and no malpractice history.

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

C-sections and vaginal deliveries

Suction D&C

Ectopic pregnancies

Ovarian torsion

Abnormal uterine bleeding

Hospital call coverage

Most high-risk patients are managed by MFM. The laborist handles unreferred hospital patients, deliveries, and rounding.

REQUIREMENTS

Board Certified in OB/GYN

Active Virginia medical license, DEA, and CSR

ABOG certification

BLS and ACLS

Availability for the listed coverage dates

Procedure logs documenting at least 50 deliveries, including 15 C-sections, within the last 12 months

Self-query NPDB report required at submission

Clean background required for consideration for temporary privileges
