This hospital is a well-regarded community medical center providing comprehensive women's health services to central Wisconsin residents. The facility features an 8-bed department with a birthing center and clinic conveniently located on the same floor, supported by a Certified Nurse Midwife on staff and a strong team environment.

Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Obstetrics and Gynecology

Job Details:

• Provide 24-hour call coverage every day including weekends
• 4 hours of clinic patients Monday-Friday to include OB, GYN, pessaries, and annual appointments
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records system
• Review lab results for other locums, answer inbasket questions, and serve as a resource for RNs as part of clinic duties
• On days when onsite physician is present and taking call, provider will work 8 hours of clinic only with no call responsibilities
• Clinic and birthing center are located on the same floor
• Average of 12-20 deliveries per month
• 0-3 hospital patient encounters per shift; 6 hours of clinic patients
• Must be licensed in WI or hold an IMLC license
• Board certification eligible minimum; board certification not required
• BLS certification required
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
• Manage low risk pregnancies and perform FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
• Perform amniocentesis procedures
• Handle routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal, low forceps, c-sections, breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
• Decision-making for c-sections required
• Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations required
• Provide surgical gynecology services including open, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor, and operative/major procedures such as ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOA's
• Dates needed in 2026: September 4-11, September 25 - October 1, October 16-23, November 16-22, and December 4-7
