Midwife Needed – Central New Jersey Region
Start Date: March 2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks; potential ongoing need

Schedule

Three 12‑hour shifts per week
7:00a–7:00p or 7:00p–7:00a
No call required
Consistent scheduling within Birth Center + L&D settings


Practice Details

Birth Center and Labor & Delivery unit
Support staff includes RNs and patient care technicians
Patient volume: ~18–20 within the practice
EMR: Paragon
Adult obstetric population


Clinical Scope

Full-scope midwifery within Birth Center and Labor & Delivery
Management of physiologic births
Antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patient care
Collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
Documentation of all patient encounters within required timelines


Requirements

Certified Midwife – Midwifery
Active New Jersey license required
DEA required
CDS certification required
BLS, ACLS, NRP required
Midwifery certification through the American Midwifery Certification Board (or board-eligible)
STABLE certification preferred
Minimum 1 year midwifery experience
Ability to comfortably manage physiologic births
Vaccination compliance required


Credentialing

Typical timeframe varies
Submittal must include NPI, state license details, and expiration dates


Location
Located in the Central New Jersey Region, supporting a Birth Center and Labor & Delivery unit with consistent 12‑hour shifts and full-scope midwifery responsibilities.
