Midwife Needed in NC

Location: Laurinburg, NC

Start: January

3-6 months ongoing

Coverage needed per month (24hr / hourly shifts / shifts + call, etc):
• The CNM would work between two clinics and main hospital L&D.
• Clinic and on-site call coverage
• Call is a 24-hour L&D shift with a facility-employed MD on Monday
• Clinic will be:
Half day post call on Tuesday (8a-noon) in Laurinburg
Full day on Wednesday (8a-4:30p) in Pembroke
Full day on Thursday (8a-4:30p) in Laurinburg
Half day on Friday (8a-12:30p) in Pembroke
• Frequency of any Call needed: varies

Work Details:
• Support staff: clinical/clerical team; nurses in L&D
• Department Description: hospital and hospital owned practice; See a mix of routine prenatal and gyn patients; each location already has a NP in the practice who sees GYNs
• Patient Volume: See 6-10 patients for half day clinic and 15-20 patients for a whole day clinic
• Patient Age Group: primarily adults, some under 18 OB and GYN patients
• EMR/Documentation System: EPIC, required
Requirements:
• Are Board Certifications Req’d?: yes, BC in AMCB required (CNM cert)
• Which State License(s) Req’d?: NC
• Certifications Req’d? (BLS / ACLS / etc): BLS
• Specific Skills Req’d?: comfortable with rural OBGYN setting with busy office and L&D floor
• DEA Req’d?: NC
• Minimum Experience Req’d (# of years): seasoned, no new grads
• Are vaccines mandatory?: N/A
• Any additional requirements/details to screen for?: clean backgrounds, name clear + NPI
Credentialing/Privileging Timeframe: will likely need temp privileges for CNM
Are you willing To License?: No
Is IMLC Accepted?: No, not for CNMs
Which travel is billable (airfare / hotel / rental car / mileage / etc): all listed; we do have potential facility housing options for Locums. Prefer drive in versus fly-in and if fly in approved to not fly back and forth at our expense during the stay.
