## 🩺 JOB OVERVIEW

A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced **Registered Staff Nurse (RN)** to provide compassionate, holistic care to postpartum patients and their newborns.

The RN will provide independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing care while following established nursing standards, competencies, and clinical guidelines. The ideal candidate will have strong postpartum experience and be comfortable caring for new mothers and newborns during the recovery period following delivery.

## 👩‍🍼 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Perform comprehensive nursing assessments of patients
* Develop nursing diagnoses and individualized plans of care
* Implement and evaluate patient care plans
* Provide comprehensive care to postpartum mothers and their newborns
* Monitor maternal and newborn conditions and communicate changes appropriately
* Provide education regarding breastfeeding, infant care, and maternal recovery
* Coordinate care with physicians and other members of the healthcare team
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary care providers
* Delegate appropriate nursing activities according to scope of practice
* Provide patient and family education and support
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
* Participate in quality improvement and nursing practice initiatives
* Promote safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care

## 🍼 REQUIRED POSTPARTUM EXPERIENCE

Candidates must have:

* **2+ years of Postpartum nursing experience**
* Experience providing comprehensive care to **new mothers and their newborns after delivery**
* Experience educating patients and families on:

* Breastfeeding
* Infant care
* Maternal care and recovery
* Strong knowledge of postpartum nursing practices

## 🏥 CLINICAL ENVIRONMENT

Depending on the assigned unit, responsibilities may vary based on patient population and clinical needs.

The RN may provide care across various stages of the patient life cycle, with this particular opportunity emphasizing **maternal and newborn/postpartum care**.

## 📋 QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

* Active **Minnesota RN license – Required**
* **2+ years of Postpartum experience – Required**
* Current **BLS certification (AHA or ARC) – Required**
* Demonstrated experience caring for postpartum mothers and newborns
* Strong maternal-newborn assessment and clinical skills
* Excellent communication and patient education skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
