OB/GYN Physician – Locum Tenens (Clinic + Call)
Start Date: Orientation 4/13/2026 • First Shift 4/14/2026
Assignment Length: 6 months
FTE: 0.25 (about one week per month)
License Required: Active AK license + DEA must be in hand for submission
EMR: Epic

We are seeking an experienced OB/GYN Physician (MD/DO) to provide a mix of clinic, inpatient coverage, and call. This role fills a critical gap in coverage and offers a predictable monthly schedule in a supportive environment.

Position Highlights
8‑hour clinic days

24‑hour call shifts paired with clinic days

Weekend call includes 2 hours gratis

Call‑backs required

Must be able to work 1 week per month (0.25 FTE)

Expedited credentialing available (AK license + DEA required)

Schedule
Clinic: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Call:

24‑hour call for L&D and ED

Call blocks typically 2–3 days in a row, with clinic days in between

Approx. 7 days of 1st or 2nd call per month

Practice Setting
Both inpatient and outpatient

Hospital size: 25 beds (5 L&D beds)

Always a second OB/GYN on call, plus 24/7 ED and hospitalist support

Patient Volumes
Clinic: 10 patients/day

Labor & Delivery: 0–2 patients/day

Inpatient rounding/consults: Rounding + admissions required

Patient population: Primarily adults, some pediatrics and geriatrics

Clinical Scope
Full‑scope general OB/GYN

No scheduled surgeries expected unless assisting another provider

Must provide case logs from the last 24 months demonstrating relevant OB/GYN clinical activity

Requirements
MD/DO

Board‑certified or board‑eligible in OB/GYN

Active Alaska medical license + DEA

BLS (AHA or Red Cross)

Ability to manage both clinic and inpatient responsibilities

Comfortable with full‑scope OB/GYN, including L&D call
