**Occupational Medicine APP – Soquel, CA**

Start Date: April
Duration: 3-month assignment
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Soquel, California

This role focuses on evaluating and treating occupational medicine patients while ensuring compliance with medical, licensing, and regulatory standards. The provider will establish and monitor appropriate levels of care, complete medical documentation before the end of each shift, and collaborate closely with the Center Medical Director to maintain high standards of patient care and clinical operations.

Responsibilities include communicating with client representatives following employee injuries or changes in medical status, ensuring accurate documentation and coding, and maintaining compliance with state practice acts and workers’ compensation regulations. The provider will also help support clinical operations, guide medical personnel when needed, and promote a collaborative, patient-focused environment. Building relationships with center clients and payers, responding to requests promptly, and contributing to workflow improvements and patient satisfaction are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements:

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited PA or NP program and hold an active, unrestricted California license (or be in the process of obtaining one). BLS and AED certifications are required, with ACLS preferred. Candidates must also hold NRCME certification (DOT Medical Examiner) and an active DEA. Experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine is preferred, though new graduates are welcome to apply.

**Skills and Competencies:**
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities. Excellent customer service skills, professionalism, and the ability to handle confidential information in compliance with HIPAA are essential. Candidates should possess solid knowledge of medical diagnosis and treatment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Familiarity with medical office operations, electronic medical records, and basic computer skills is also preferred.
