Job description
TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking a local Occupational Therapist (OT) for a permanent opportunity with a respected PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) organization in Greensboro, North Carolina. Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and reassessments of participants' functional status.
Develop individualized treatment plans and establish functional goals with participants and caregivers.
Provide therapeutic exercises, interventions, and retraining in activities of daily living (ADLs).
Recommend adaptive equipment and home modifications to enhance participant safety and independence.
Delegate and supervise services provided by Occupational Therapy Assistants and Rehabilitation Technicians.
Coordinate participant care and communicate changes in condition with the interdisciplinary team.
Participate in Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings and contribute to individualized care planning.
Educate participants, family members, caregivers, and staff on treatment plans, adaptive techniques, and safety strategies.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, and participant outcomes in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate 24-hour care planning as part of the interdisciplinary care team.
Attend staff meetings and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
Current Occupational Therapist license in North Carolina.
Valid North Carolina driver's license and reliable transportation.
Minimum one (1) year of experience working with frail and/or elderly populations required.
Two (2) years of Occupational Therapy experience preferred.
Demonstrated clinical competency in geriatric rehabilitation.
Knowledge of Medicare, CMS, state, and federal healthcare regulations.
Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team environment.
Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to frequently bend, stoop, stand, walk, and climb stairs.
Ability to safely lift, transfer, and position participants using proper body mechanics.
Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds.
Ability to transport durable medical equipment.
Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Work Environment
Clinical, participant home, and community-based settings.
Regular interaction with frail and elderly participants.
Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens while assisting participants with activities of daily living and wound-related care.
Must maintain compliance with all organizational policies, confidentiality requirements, infection prevention standards, and CMS regulations.
