Occupational Medicine Physician – Washington, DC
Facility: Worksite Clinic (Employer‑Based Health Center)
Location: Washington, DC
Start Date: January 7th, 2027
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–9:00pm, very flexible work schedule
Employment Type: Full‑Time or Part‑Time

Opportunity Overview
This position is based at an employer‑based worksite clinic providing a broad range of occupational health and limited primary/urgent care services. The clinic supports an employee population requiring episodic care, urgent care, workers’ compensation injury management, regulatory exams, preventive services, point‑of‑care testing, and limited onsite medication dispensing.

Duties & Responsibilities
Clinical & Oversight Responsibilities

• Provide direction and oversight for the medical practice of the onsite PA/NP
• Serve as the primary consulting physician for the PA/NP as needed
• Support the PA/NP’s ongoing educational and clinical development
• Provide assessment and treatment of work‑related injuries and illnesses
• Provide urgent care for non‑occupational conditions as appropriate
• Conduct initial evaluation and stabilization for patients requiring higher‑level care or EMS transport
• Provide audio consult availability as needed

Occupational Medical Director and Deputy Medical Director

• Apply Department of Energy Directive: 10 CFR 851 – Worker Health & Safety
• Participate in meetings and committees as requested
• Review 10% or more of PA/NP charts with feedback and education
• Support regulatory compliance and site‑specific health & safety initiatives

Requirements

• Valid and unrestricted Washington, DC medical license
• Current and unrestricted DEA registration
• Current BLS certification
• Occupational health and workers’ compensation experience strongly preferred
