A bright outlook for patients with melanoma-related retinopathy

There may be a new alternative treatment option for patients suffering from melanoma-related retinopathy (MAR), a rare cancer-related syndrome affecting the eye. A team of researchers from the University of Surrey and Royal Surrey County Hospital investigated the effects of a long acting steroid implant injected into the eye of a patient suffering from MAR and continued to monitor progress over a three-year period. So far, things are looking good.
