Locum Optometrist needed in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine

CLIENT WILL WAIT FOR A LICENSE! Agency will pay for license!

Start: ASAP! As soon as credentialed/licensed!

Credentialing: 30 days

Schedule: 4 10hour days

Patient Volume: 15-16 ppd

Procedures: Bread & butter Optometry- conduct vision exams, diagnose impairments, prescribe glasses, contacts, medications, and therapeutic procedures. Provide pre- and postoperative care. Manage diabetics, cataracts, glaucoma, and broader pathology including potential pituitary adenoma.

Certifications: BLS, DEA

Additional Info: Support staff: 1-2 Optometric Techs (depending on staffing)
Clinic has two lanes, OCT, visual field, and iCare—plenty of equipment. Excellent access to ophthalmology; local specialists see urgent cases (e.g., retinal detachment) within 24 hours.
