This clinic is part of a well-established healthcare network serving the Upper Peninsula region of Michigan. The facility operates a busy ophthalmology practice with three procedure rooms and two highly experienced and knowledgeable medical assistants providing strong support to providers.

Physician - Ophthalmology

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens clinic and surgical position with no call required
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8AM-5PM
• Preferred schedule of two weeks on, two weeks off - first week focused on surgeries and procedures, second week focused on follow-up appointments
• Minimum of 4 clinic patients per hour required; approximately 20 patient encounters per shift
• Must be capable of performing 12-14 procedures and/or surgeries per day
• Cataract surgery and intravitreal injections are required skills
• Perform anterior segment surgical procedures including cataract removal, phacoemulsification, extracapsular extraction, intracapsular extraction, and intraocular lens implants
• Perform glaucoma and corneal surgical procedures
• Perform intraocular injections
• Conduct and interpret ultrasound studies (A and B-Scan)
• Interpret photos, fluorescein angiography, and optical coherence tomography
• Board certification required with active MI license or IMLC eligibility
• BLS certification required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days
