Overview:
Weatherby Healthcare is currently seeking a Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in Jonesboro, GA. This is a fantastic opportunity for a provider looking for a standard daytime schedule in a strictly clinic-only setting.

Assignment Details:

Dates: April 1, 2026 – June 30, 2026.

Schedule: Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Clinical Scope: This is a clinic-only position with no rounding required. Please note that coverage will be across multiple locations.

Patient Demographics & Cases: You will be seeing Orthopedic Surgery patients, specifically a combination of Hand, Joints, and Sports patients.

Patient Volume: Expect to see approximately 21 patients per shift.

Holidays Observed: The clinic observes New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

EMR System: Epic.

Requirements:

Board Certification: Board Eligible candidates are accepted.

License: Must have an active Georgia (GA) state license, as the client is not willing to wait for a new license to process.

Permits: An active DEA is required, but a Controlled Substance Permit is not required.
