Orthopedic APP (PA-C or NP) | Illinois | Permanent Position

Job description

A medical practice in Illinois is seeking a PA-C or NP to join their team and assist orthopedic surgeons with procedures, postoperative care, and the management of musculoskeletal conditions. The role requires diagnosing, treating acute conditions, and managing ongoing care for patients.

Responsibilities Include:

Assisting surgeons during orthopedic procedures

Providing post-op care and patient management

Prescribing tests, treatments, and pain medications

Diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal injuries and conditions

Managing the care of adults with acute or degenerative orthopedic issues

EMR: Meditech

Support Structure:

1-2 orthopedic physicians

Medical assistants

🛠 Requirements:
Board Certification: Required

Licensure: Active Illinois license + DEA required

Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS required

Experience: Prior experience in orthopedics is preferred

Credentialing:

60-90 days

• Schedule: M-F, 8 or 10-hour shifts
