Locum Tenens Orthopedic Surgery PA/NP Needed in Crookston, MN

Overview:
Weatherby Healthcare is currently seeking a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant for an upcoming locum tenens assignment in Crookston, Minnesota. This is a great opportunity to work a strictly Monday through Friday schedule with zero call requirements!

Assignment Details:

Dates: April 20, 2026 – July 24, 2026

Schedule: Monday – Friday with no call or weekend call. (A 4-day work week is an option for providers who need to travel home, though a 5-day schedule is preferred).

Clinical Scope: A mix of OR and Clinic time. You will be in the OR 1 to 2 days a week (every Wednesday, and occasionally Mondays or Tuesdays). Cases include total joints, hips, knees, and minimally invasive spine.

Clinic Duties: Pre- and post-operative care, wound management, and post-op surgical site management.

Patient Volume: 10 – 12 patients per day in the clinic.

EMR System: Epic

Requirements:

Board Certification: Must be Certified.

Certifications: Active ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) required.

License: Minnesota state license required. Client is highly motivated and willing to wait for licensing—and Weatherby will handle the licensing process for you!

Permits: Active DEA required. (Controlled Substance Permit is not required).

Travel Details:
Providers must be comfortable with a short drive to the facility after landing. The closest regional airports are Grand Forks, ND (approx. 45 minutes away) and Fargo, ND (approx. 1 hour and 25 minutes away).
