Orthopedic PA needed in Los Angeles

Job description

I’m working on a new Orthopedic Surgical PA locum's opportunity in Los Angeles, CA.They’re looking for an experienced Surgical PA to support a joint preservation surgeon in both the OR and clinic.
Position Details:
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Monday: Surgery, 7 AM–5 PM
Tuesday: Clinic, 8 AM–5 PM
Wednesday: Surgery, 7 AM–5 PM
Thursday: Clinic, 8 AM–5 PM
Friday: Clinic, 8 AM–5 PM
No call
Contract: 3 months with potential to extend
EMR: Epic
Scope:
Support a joint preservation surgeon
Assist with total hip and knee replacements and revisions
Clinic includes pre-op, post-op, and follow-up appointments
Approximately 6 surgical cases/day
Approximately 30 clinic patients/day
Primarily adult/geriatric population
Support from MAs, nursing staff, and scribes
Requirements:
Active California license required
Surgical background required; orthopedic surgery experience is a strong plus
1+ year of experience
Board Certification
BLS & ACLS
DEA
Credentialing is approximately 60–90 days, and they’re looking to start someone as soon as credentialed.
