Ortho Surg PA Assignment in Mammoth Lakes - 2027 start!

Job description

We are currently seeking an ortho surg PA for an opportunity in Mammoth Lakes, CA starting early Jan 2027!

Assignment Details
· Start Date: 1/4/2027
· Assignment Length: 6 months
· Credentialing/Privileges: Approximately 90 days

Schedule
· Full-time, 3 days per week
· 12-hour shifts / approximately 36 hours per week
· Client is looking for 30–40 hours of coverage per week
· Expected schedule is typically 1 day in the OR and 2 days in clinic per week
· Schedule can vary based on need and when physicians have cases
· On-call coverage includes nights and weekends
· Weekend call is typically 1 weekend per month and rotates among the PAs
· PA does not need to remain at the hospital while on call but must remain in town/within reasonable proximity to respond if called
· Callback 2-hour minimum

Position Overview / Responsibilities
· Provide orthopedic care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
· Assist in the medical and surgical care of orthopedic patients
· Work closely with attending orthopedic surgeons
· Function as first or second assist in the operating room
· Surgical responsibilities include surgical exposure, dissection, layered wound closure, application of dressings, and placement of immobilization devices
· Provide clinic coverage and assist with the evaluation and management of orthopedic patients
