𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞:
Locum Physician Assistant – 𝐎𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐲

𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:
We are seeking a Board-Certified Physician Assistant to support an Orthopedic Surgery team in both inpatient and surgical settings. The PA will collaborate closely with attending surgeons while maintaining autonomy in patient evaluation, procedures, and call coverage.

This role includes a blend of operating room first assist, hospital rounding, emergency consults, and outpatient orthopedic procedures.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:
- Clinical Care
- Perform patient histories, physical exams, and develop care plans
- Participate in daily rounding and documentation
- Enter orders and charting via EMR
- Respond to documentation and coding queries

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬:
- Joint/bursa aspirations and injections
- Closed reductions of fractures/dislocations
- Casting, splinting, bracing
- Wound care, debridement, tendon repair, minor surgical procedures
- Regional anesthesia and digital blocks
- Hardware removal, percutaneous pinning, needle biopsy

𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭:
- First assist in orthopedic surgeries
- Tissue closure and surgical appliance application

𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 & 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞:
- Provide orthopedic call coverage for ED and inpatient -consults
- Participate in weekday, weekend, and night call rotation
- Manage admissions, discharge summaries, and H&Ps

𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞:
- Day shifts
- 4×10 or 5×8 hour options
- Night + weekend call (1–2 nights/week, every 3rd weekend)
- OT after 40 hours
- Sunday–Saturday work week

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
- Board Certified Physician Assistant
- Active Oregon license
- Full-time availability
- NPDB self-query at submission
- Eligible for medical staff privileges
- EPIC training required
