Orthopedic Surgeon Needed in Cottonwood, AZ | 24-Hour Call Blocks | Pelvic & Acetabular + Peds | Licensure Flexible

Job description

Start: August 7, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: Specific 24-hour on-call date blocks - 08/07 at 7:00a through 08/10 at 7:00a, and October 1 at 7:00a through either October 3 or October 5 at 7:00a (open to extension)
Coverage: Orthopedic surgery call - hospital and clinic
Schedule: 24-hour beeper coverage for the duration of each assigned block; there is a chance a clinic day could be scheduled
Call: 24-hour beeper call; minimal PM coverage needs, especially after 10:00 PM
Volume: Approximately 2 surgical cases per day and 6 new consults per day
Patient Population: Pediatrics and adults
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital, 87 beds, Level IV trauma - hospital and clinic
Support: No APP first assisting; scrub techs available in the OR for case completion

Bread-and-butter orthopedic cases plus Level IV trauma coverage, adult and pediatric. Management of pelvic and acetabular fractures. Pediatric orthopedic cases. Timely documentation in Cerner.

Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery. Minimum 1 year of experience. Arizona license required - IMLC LOQ accepted; open to licensure. BLS required. DEA required. Credentialing: 21 days.
