The facility operates as a Trauma Level III center, providing comprehensive orthopedic and surgical care to a diverse patient population including adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, with an average of 2-5 admissions per day.

Job Details:

• Orthopedic Surgeon needed to cover urgent September through December dates and sporadic ongoing dates
• 24-hour call shifts (7a-7a) at a Trauma Level III facility
• Must be available within 30 minutes when on call, per Colorado state Level III trauma center guidelines
• Procedural expectations consistent with the scope of care of a general Orthopedic Surgeon
• Patient population includes adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Average of 2-5 admissions per day
• EMR system: Epic - prior Epic experience required; must complete Epic modules and virtual training prior to first day
• Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery required
• Active Colorado license or IMLC (Letter of Qualification in hand at time of submission) required
• Active DEA required for credentialing - must have transferable DEA for September dates
• Clean malpractice and background history required
• Must be available for any of the scheduled coverage stints to be considered for ongoing dates
• Must state number of shifts per month available to offer the team on an ongoing basis
• Credentialing timeframe: 30 days standard; preapp and full application must be submitted within 72 hours of receipt
• Emergency temporary privileges available
