⚕️Locums Orthopedic Surgeon – Sports Medicine | Aurora, IL

Job description

We are seeking a Sports Medicine fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon for an ongoing locums assignment at a Level II Trauma Center located outside of Chicago.

Schedule:
2 clinic days (8:00am–5:00pm)
2 OR days (start 7:30am)
Flexible scheduling for OR/clinic days
Call:
Weekend: 1:7 (Fri 5pm – Mon 7am)
Weeknight: shared with group (0–1 night/week)
Includes ER call + inpatient rounding (within 24 hrs)

Clinical Responsibilities:
Bread and butter sports medicine
ACL/MCL/PCL, knee and ligament work, meniscus
Hip arthroscopy experience a plus
Clinic: ~25–30 patients/day
OR: ~8–10 cases/week
Support:
6 orthopedic surgeons (11 total providers)
APPs assist in OR and help with call
EMR: Epic

Requirements:
Sports Medicine fellowship required
IL license or IMLC
DEA required

Credentialing:~3 months (temporary privileges available)
Travel covered
