Locum Tenens Physician - Surgery - Orthopedic

Shift: M-F 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with 24-hour call coverage

Position Details:
Patient Population: Orthopedic surgical patients
Setting: Clinic, Operating Room, and Inpatient Hospital
Responsibilities: Clinical coverage, surgical procedures, trauma/orthopedic call, inpatient rounding, ED consults, follow-up clinic visits, supervision of APPs
Required Procedures: Total hip, knee, and shoulder replacement; hand, wrist, knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, and foot surgical procedures; trauma injuries; fracture care; sports medicine procedures
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: 4 Physicians, 7 APPs, nursing staff, cast techs, surgery schedulers, ancillary staff
Days Per Month: Specific coverage blocks required (March 13–24 and April 23–28)
On-Call/Weekends: Yes — 24-hour call coverage

• 24-hour orthopedic call coverage with follow-up clinic continuity
• Ongoing coverage with scheduled blocks (March & April required)
• Broad surgical scope including joint replacements, trauma, and sports medicine
