About the clinician's workday

The orthopedic surgeon will provide comprehensive 24-hour call coverage for inpatient and emergency room consultations at this Level 3 trauma center. The clinician will conduct clinic appointments Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with one clinic day dedicated to operating room coverage. Essential responsibilities include performing core orthopedic surgical procedures including joint replacements for hips, knees, and shoulders, as well as hand and foot fracture repairs. The position requires managing 1-3 calls per 24-hour period with potential weekend call coverage and approximately one hour of daily rounding.
