Orthopedic Surgeon Call Coverage – Baltimore, MD

Job description

We’re working with a health system in Baltimore, MD seeking Orthopedic Surgery locums for weekend call coverage. Here’s a quick look:

📍 Location: Baltimore, MD
📅 Schedule: 1 weekend/month (Fri–Sun), 24-hour call from 7a–7a
📆 Contract: Starts end of September – 1 year with option to extend
📞 Call Volume: 4–5 calls/day, usually 1 onsite visit
🩺 Support Team: You’ll work with PAs, residents & RNs
👥 Patient Mix: Ages 17+ (rare peds)
🏥 Trauma Level 3 | EMR: Cerner
🛠️ Skills Needed: Bread & butter ortho, fractures, some infections

Requirements:

Board Certified

Active MD license

1+ year of experience

⚡ Credentialing: Emergency privileges possible – as quick as 2–3 weeks!
