Locum Tenens Orthopedic Surgeon (Thur - Mon)

Job description

We are seeking a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon for an ongoing hospital-based locum tenens assignment in Missouri. This opportunity offers a consistent Thursday-through-Monday schedule, Level I trauma exposure, and APP support.

Assignment Details
Start: As soon as credentialed
Initial contract: Three months with the opportunity to extend
Schedule: Thursday–Monday
Shift: 24-hour coverage, 7:00 AM–7:00 AM
Coverage includes inpatient rounding and beeper call
Practice setting: Hospital


Clinical Responsibilities
Perform inpatient rounds and consultations
Provide beeper call coverage for trauma and Emergency Department cases
Serve as the first orthopedic call for trauma-related fractures
Treat adult and geriatric patients
Manage a broad range of general orthopedic and trauma cases
Pelvic fracture coverage is not required

Support
PA/NP support
Scrub technician support
Level I Trauma Center resources

Requirements
Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery
Active Missouri medical license required
IMLC or licensing candidates are not being considered at this time
Active DEA registration
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
New graduates may be considered
