Job description

Covenant Health Hobbs Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon for locum tenens call coverage beginning in December. The facility has an ongoing need for approximately two weeks of coverage per month, with additional dates possible throughout the year. Providers will enjoy a low-volume call environment with flexible scheduling.

Coverage Dates Needed:
December 18 – December 28
January 2 – January 17
Ongoing coverage opportunities available thereafter

Call Requirement: Provider is not required to remain onsite
Practice Setting: 100% Hospital Call Coverage
Volume: Light call volume

Case Mix:
80% Adult Orthopedic Cases
10% Pediatric Cases
10% Trauma Cases

Credentialing:
Approximately 90-day credentialing timeframe

Requirements:
Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon
Active New Mexico Medical License
BLS Certification
ACLS Certification

Important Additional Requirement:
Providers must enroll in the New Mexico Patient Compensation Fund (PCF). The facility prefers the staffing agency to provide and coordinate this coverage.
