Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Orthopaedic Surgery

Job Details:
• Provide general orthopedic surgery services from June 26 7A through July 1 7A
• Handle 24-hour call responsibilities with requirement to stay within 20 minutes of hospital
• Manage 0-3 consults per day with varied patient encounters per shift
• Respond to 0-2 ED visits for closed reductions and admissions
• Perform 0-2 surgeries per day including wrist, ankle, and hip fractures and I&D procedures
• Note: Long bone trauma cases are stabilized and transferred to other facilities
• Must maintain active NC medical license and NC DEA with NC address
• Board certification required with full credentialing process taking approximately 2 weeks
• Required certifications include ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS
• Must be credentialed with Medicaid/Medicare and enrolled with PECOS as a provider
• Comprehensive surgical skills required including arthroscopy, total joint replacements, revisions, hand surgery, tendon procedures, peripheral nerve surgery, and spinal procedures
• Provider must be vaccinated and provide NPI# with candidate bid
• Hospital utilizes Meditech Expansion system
• On-site housing provided in hospital-owned apartments
• Travel expenses capped at $500 including airfare, rental car OR mileage
• Gratis hours capped at 4 hours

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
