This hospital is a well-established healthcare facility serving the southern Oklahoma region. The facility features a 99-bed department with strong orthopedic support including 2 local integrated orthopedic surgeons and 1 non-integrated physician with privileges, providing comprehensive musculoskeletal care to the community.

Opportunity:
Physician - Orthopaedic Surgery

Job Details:
• Provide emergency department orthopedic call coverage with ongoing needs
• Handle approximately 6 patient encounters per shift with average of 10 orthopedic inpatients
• Must be able to perform total hip replacements - this is a critical requirement for hip fractures coming through the ED
• Total knee replacement capability preferred but not required
• Manage simple fractures and routine orthopedic emergencies
• Perform arthroscopy and joint revision/repair procedures for shoulder, hip, and knee
• Handle total joint replacements including hip, knee, and other joints
• Call requirements are 9 shifts per month with future needs of 1-2 weekends monthly
• Must respond to all calls within 15 minutes and be in facility within 30 minutes when needed
• Callback ranges from zero to 2-4 hours but do not need to stay in facility entire 24-hour call period
• Board certification required with ACLS and BLS certification
• Estimated credentialing timeframe is 90 days
• Initial coverage needed for 7/17 - 7/20 with ongoing opportunities available

Compensation:
