Job description
Start: September 17, 2026 (orientation 9/17/26; first working day 9/18/26)
Length: 18 weeks - approved through January 25, 2027
Coverage: Scheduled clinic and inpatient coverage plus required call
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00-16:00 (8-hour days); clinic and hospital coverage; night and weekend call required; FTE 1.0
Call: Night and weekend call rotation, including 24-hour call and call-back
Volume: Clinic 12-20/day; hospital ~2/day
Practice Setting: Critical access hospital (21 beds) and outpatient clinic; Adult Level IV trauma
Patient Population: Adults and pediatrics
Procedures: Orthopedic trauma within scope of privileges
Working Solo: Yes
Outpatient orthopedic clinic evaluations, treatment planning, and follow-up
Inpatient rounding and admissions
Orthopedic trauma coverage within scope of privileges
Timely documentation in Epic
Requirements
Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
Oregon license in hand at time of presentation required (no licensing support offered)
Recent Epic experience required (within the last six months)
BLS certification required
COVID-19 vaccination required - no exemptions
Clean malpractice history strongly preferred
Case list documenting 100 patients over the past 24 months representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested (must include diagnosis or procedure, date, and facility)
8-hour weekday clinic and hospital days (8:00-16:00)
Night and weekend call required
Two positions available
Credentialing: standard process is 90 days from application submission; expedited credentialing available in some instances
