Orthopedic Surgeons Needed in Hazleton & Bensalem, PA (will license)

I have a client in Hazleton & Bensalem, PA who's seeking 2 experienced Orthopedic Surgeons for locum coverage. Here are the job details.

Start: Mid-February

26-week assignment

Client is looking for an orthopedic surgeon **working in a non-surgical, clinic setting.** They say candidates are often retired providers looking to generate additional income but not limited to this. MUST be board certified or previously certified.
- Will float between 3 clinics, as needed – Possible to float between clinics in one day depending on each facility’s patient schedule.
- Prefers local candidates

Contract Length: Flexible on contract length
Shift Details: 9a-5p
Schedule: 2-4 days/week


Work Details:
• Patients per day: 20-30/day
• Department description: Will work with patients for personal injury, car accidents, slip & fall types of cases. Post-Op follow ups – No surgical consults
• EMR: Paper charting ; same day notes required
• Special procedures:
o Shoulder injections – These are rare and not required if provider is not comfortable doing

Practice Setting:
• Clinic/Private Practice

Requirements:
• Board Certification: Yes ; or previously certified if cert has lapsed
• License required: PA ; Will consider IMLC but prefers local candidates
• DEA: Yes
• Minimum experience required: Looking for experienced physicians with at least 10+ years of experience

Credentialing Timeframe: Can credential in about 7-14 days
