Job description

A Level II Trauma Center in Washington is seeking a part-time Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon for ongoing locums coverage while recruiting for a permanent hire. This is an excellent opportunity for a local or Pacific Northwest based provider looking for consistent, daytime trauma work with strong APP support.

Trauma Designation: Level II
EMR: Epic
Practice Setting: Hospital

Assignment Details:
- Start Date: July 1, 2026
- Duration: Ongoing until permanent hire
- Schedule: 1–2 days per week
- Preferred Days: Mondays & Thursdays
- Hours: 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM
- Call: Pager call during shift hours only
- No night call

Clinical Scope:
- Case Mix: Bread-and-butter orthopedic trauma
- Pelvic trauma experience: Preferred, not required
- Average Volume: 3–4 surgical cases per day
- Inpatient Responsibilities: Consults and rounding
- Support: Robust PA coverage for OR assist and rounding

Provider Requirements
- Specialty: Orthopedic Trauma Surgery
- Board Status: BC required (BE considered)
- Experience: Open to new graduates out of fellowship
- Trauma Trained: Yes
- Key Skills: Geriatric fractures, neck fractures, general trauma

Licensure & Credentialing
- License: Washington license or IMLC
- Credentialing Timeline: 60–90 days
- Emergency Privileges: Considered with a clean file
