Assignment Overview
Franciscan Health St. Joseph Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified, Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to provide ongoing locum tenens coverage. This position offers recurring coverage opportunities throughout the year, with an anticipated ongoing need of approximately two weeks per month based on the facility's internal physician schedule.
Current Coverage Needs
September 25, 7:00 AM – October 1, 7:00 AM
October 22, 7:00 AM – October 26, 7:00 AM
December 23, 7:00 AM – December 28, 7:00 AM
February 22, 7:00 AM – March 1, 7:00 AM
Ongoing need: Approximately two weeks per month
Practice Details
24-hour call shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
Coverage dates are determined by the availability of the facility's employed orthopedic trauma surgeon
Average callback hours:
Weekdays: 7.4 hours
Weekends: 7.8 hours
Patient volume varies from 0–7 admissions/patients per day
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic
Qualifications
Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery (Required)
Fellowship-trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon (Required)
Minimum of five (5) years of Level II Trauma experience (Required)
Washington medical license strongly preferred; candidates with an Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) Letter of Qualification (LOQ) will also be considered
Current BLS certification and DEA registration required (candidates actively obtaining these credentials after offer acceptance will be considered)
