BayCare St. Joseph’s Hospital is actively seeking a board-certified Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon for short-term call-only locum tenens coverage on two separate blocks: August 26 to September 2, 2025 and September 23 to September 29, 2025.
This position is inpatient-only with no clinic duties or scheduled hours. The surgeon will provide beeper call coverage for both trauma consults and inpatient follow-ups. The hospital functions as a Level 1 trauma center despite being officially designated as Level 2, and providers must be equipped to handle complex trauma cases.

Key Requirements:
- Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery – Orthopaedic Trauma
- FL Medical License (required at time of submission)
- Fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery required
- BLS certification required
Must be proficient in:
- Acetabular fracture management
- Hemi-arthroplasty
- External fixation
- Pinning
- Complex trauma orthopedic procedures

- Provide beeper call coverage only—no clinic or scheduled hours—at a Level 2 trauma center operating like a Level 1 facility.
- Must be board certified in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery and skilled in acetabular fractures, ex-fix, pinning, and hemi-arthroplasty.
- Two separate coverage windows: August 26–September 2 and September 23–29, 2025. No temp privileges. FL license required.
